Nigerian Polytechnics & Monotechnics Students Protest Over Prolonged ASUP Strike

Students of Nigerian Polytechnics and Colleges of Education in the early hours of today Wednesday 28th 0f May hit the streets of Lagos to protest over the prolonged strike by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, ASUP.

The strike which commenced about 9 months ago has grounded academic activities in all Nigerian Polytechnics and as well posed a measure of threat on the future of the affected students.

The agrieved students were carrying placards, singing solidarity songs and calling on the Nigerian Goverment to do something in time to safe their future.

It was reported that police shot at the protesting students in Ebute Metta area of the state this afternoon. See more pics of the protest below...
