Road To Fessa Awards 2014: echoes from the past

The Fessa Awards 2014 is coming up on Thursday 30th of October 2014, at the Banquet hall Ikeja Lagos. As the day draws nearer and expectations getting bigger, let's take a look at some of the pictures from the last edition held on Thursday 4th of July 2014 at the Multipurpose Hall of our dear institution. see more pics below...

The Home

Home, they say, is where the heart truly lives.

In my journey through the fragile clusters of life I have learnt a tangible sum on the theme; home.

Home to every man that roams this world is as diverse and assorted as the fishes that swim our waters. Home to a good number of people is not that enclosure with a window to peep into the rest of the world. Home is where all men find peace.

Home is when all the troubles of the world don’t matter. Home is who in all the solace of this life dwells.

Like a fish that wanders to land, no true joy will be found until the moment he finds his way back into the unending waters that he once found solitude and peace. Like the fish out of the waters, we men are lost and pained in a world that is not our home. Like the baileys lost in the stormy winds men go through life lost like a deranged vagabond who find no joy in the abundance of life.

The Observer: An African Lamentation

Article written by Abejide Ayodeji.

The wheel of change in our world today has been set in motion since the beginning of human awareness and consciousness. The human mind had been in motion since that blessed day, making the impossible possible, creating and destroying, building and breaking. Today, we look at how far our race has sailed on the tides of time and we cannot but feel the tingling happiness of pride and accomplishment. It is the observer’s belief that if the human race had a rival (let’s say from mars), they would have been left in the trial of our accomplishment and demoralized with jealousy.
