 The wheel of change in our world today has been set in motion since the beginning of human awareness and consciousness. The human mind had been in motion since that blessed day, making the impossible possible, creating and destroying, building and breaking. Today, we look at how far our race has sailed on the tides of time and we cannot but feel the tingling happiness of pride and accomplishment. It is the observer’s belief that if the human race had a rival (let’s say from mars), they would have been left in the trial of our accomplishment and demoralized with jealousy.

Nigerian Law School speaks on students' mass failure

The authority of the Nigerian Law School have spoken out about the recent mass failure of students of the school. The students embarked on a protest last week claiming that over 3,000 of them failed the 2013/2014 exams. The highest failure the Nigerian Law School has witnessed, PM News reports.

But reacting, the Secretary to the Council of the Legal Education and Director of Administration of Nigeria Law School, Mrs. E.O Max-Uba, who spoke with PM News, said the students lied, that only 1,000 failed and it was mostly those who were retaking the exams after failing multiple times. She claimed that 57.01% of those who wrote the exam passed.

Another Fire Outbreak: Unilag Shopping Complex On Fire

The Unilag Shopping Complex is currently on fire. As at the time of publishing this news, the fire outbreak is affecting DeCafe Cyber cafe (close to YemYem). Eyewitness said that, the fire outbreak started around 12:30 am, about 30 minutes ago.

Students nearby are said to have been working effortlessly to put the fire under control before the arrival of the Fire Service.

It was recorded that Madam Tinubu Hall, one of the female hostels in the popular 'New Hall' area on Unilag campus had a similar experience just a few days ago.

Fistmix Entertainment Presents 'Unilag Doyens'.. Unilag's Official Talent Show

Fistmix Entertainment & Council of Faculty Presidents, Unilag presents "Unilag Doyens" - Unilag's Official Talent Show.

The search is on to pick Unilag's most talented students also to create an avenue for youths to showcase their talents while in school. Forms are available at all faculty presidents offices and Studio De Best for N2000.

The talents are categorized into four main segments which are Dance, Music, Comedy and Others. There would be four winners, one from each category and out of the four winners would emerge an Overall Winner.

The Merit (Direct Entry) Admissions for candidates who sat for the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) test in August 2014 have been completed. With the JUPEB Certificate, candidates not offered admission may seek admission into any Nigerian University or partnering institutions in the United Kingdom.

A few days ago, authority of our dear University of Lagos announced the appointment of Prof. G.O Babawale as the new DSA and I posted the news here but his picture was not included in the post.

So I have tried to get his picture to show you what our new DSA looks like. He looks cool right?

I guess his calm look signals some comfort on our side. May be our newly admitted students (Freshers) will not have issues to get hostel accommodations. May be we won't have to buy 5 hostel application cards to apply and end up not getting a space.
