Estate Management Students Association, Unilag presents EL-CLASSICO

Its a fun filled day in scope as the department of Estate Management Students; Association (EMSA) University of Lagos, presents the EMSA EL-CLASSICO!!! coming up today at the Main Bowl of the sport centre, Unilag by 12pm.

EMSA El-Classico is a Novelty Football Match between Imperial Team (a mix of male and female students of  Estate year 5) and EMSA Team (a mix of male and female students from Yr 1-3) Year 4 students are on IT.

It promises to be interesting, with refreshments and music while enjoying the game of football.

The Imperial Team (Estate Year 5) would be Captained by Sylas (year 5) to be assisted by the brief and sexy Boma.

Today Tuesday 30th of September has been declared lecture free in all departments of the Faculty of Education, Unilag.

After the influx of some of the biggest names in the Nigerian entertainment industry  in this past week, including Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, Patrick Obahiagbon and a host of others who on different occasions visited our dear University of Lagos.

Seems the prestigious institution haven't had enough as Coca-Cola’s youth-centric music platform, Coke Studio, is set to storm the Akokaite family on Friday October 3, 2014, with electrifying performances from top acts like Olamide and Iyanya who would headline the event alongside trending vocalist Tekno, Emma Nyra and dancehall maestro Patoranking.

Olabisi Onabanjo University reopens today

Authority of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Ago-Iwoye in Ogun state, has ordered the immediate reopening of the institution today Monday 29th of September 2014.

The direction was made public yesterday and students are instructed to resume their normal academic activities with immediate effect as lectures will be starting immediately in continuation of their 2013/2014 academic session.

The University was shut in August this year based on the orders of the State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun when students held several protests demanding for a reduction in their school fees.

Gunmen invade ESUT, shoot 3 students

Three male students of Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Agbani are in critical conditions after being shot by yet unidentified gunmen who stormed their 'Unique hostel', one of the male hostels of the institution. Miss Damilare Babajide representing the faculty of Law, was crowned the winner of Miss Unilag 2014 beauty contest. She came ahead of 14 other beautiful contestants to wear the crown of glory in a fabulous event concluded around 2am today at the indoor sports hall of the prestigious University of Lagos.

Miss Babajide is a 400 level  Law student of the institution, now a rightful owner of the brand new Toyota Matrix emerging the 2014 Miss Unilag beauty queen.

Speaking with Tayo Lawal of UnilagHowfar.Com after her success, she express her utmost gratitude to God almighty for giving her the strength, talents, courage and the grace to emerge the winner, also to Sulcata entertainment, and other stake holders that made the 2014 Miss Unilag event a success.

Unilag undergraduate students who didn't do the course registration.. this is the way out

This is a very good news for Unilag undergraduate students who are yet to complete their 2nd semester online course registration before the course registration portal was closed.

According to the latest information getting to me from the council of Faculty Presidents, you are hereby directed to write a letter to either the DSA,Prof. Kayode Amund or Director of Academic Affairs and explain the reason(s) why you couldn't register before the registration portal was closed. Attach necessary documents if there's any, with your phone number.

2015 JAMB/UTME Form Is Now On Sale, How To Apply

The 2015 JAMB/UTME Registration Form is now on sale. The 2015 UTME examinations may be written earlier than it used to be cuz of the 2015 Elections.

The 2015 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is going to be Computer Based Test (CBT) all through.

The form has been on sale from Monday 15th of September 2014 and will be closing on Thursday 15th of January 2015.

The 2nd semester course registration portal for the 2013/2014 academic session for undergraduate students has been reopened for editing (add/delete only) from now till Tuesday 30th of September 2014.

This opportunity is for every student who has completed the course registration before the portal was closed a few weeks ago, but still have one or more courses to add or delete.

You are strongly advised to take good advantage of this precious opportunity to add or remove any course that needs be, before the final closure of the portal, as it may not be reopened again.

The missing Unilag & Caleb Universities students have been found dead (So Sad)

Jimoh Adetayo Saheed (TY Blazer), Moyo Gbolahan both of the University of Lagos and Ayokunle Shonowo of Caleb University have been found dead, months after the trio were declared missing.

The three of them were declared missing sometimes in April this year and I reported here on this platform. Click Here to read the story.

A few days ago, I got the info that 2 of their dead bodies had been found in a mortuary and they were brought as accident victims. While on a contrary; a reader of UnilagHowfar commented that Moyo's body was found in Ijebu and their death must have been linked to a herbalist who has now been arrested.

However, the trio has been confirmed dead. I will bring you more updates soon as I get any info on the mystery surrounding their death. see the screen shot and the link to the comment after the cut

Photos From Fes Sports Week Finals Held Last Week

The grand finale of the FES Sports week was held last week Friday 5th of September 2014 at the sports centre of the prestigious University of Lagos. The exciting week of sports started on Monday 1st of September and featured outstanding performances from the participants in different games like football, basketball, athletics among others.

The Estate Management department emerged the winner of the football final match after defeating the Urban and Regional department in a crucial game that ended in a penalty shoot out. Making it the second time they will be winning the trophy back to back in recent times while the department of Quantity Surveying won the third place match defeating Department of Building also on penalties.

The URP department won the Basketball final match, other events involve 4x100 relay race in which I participated, representing my department and we actually came last..lol. No offence please we did not prepare.. duur... see more pictures after the cut
