Another case of insanity? UNILAG girl displays madness in her hostel room

Adunola earlier this morning in her hostel room, suddenly untied the knots, threw her shoes, jumped up, screamed at the top of her voice, scattered her expensive Brazilian hair acting like an age long patient at the left side in Yaba, staggering as if she was going to hit the floor, turned around shaking her bumbum, she gave her roomies the 'Shoki' dance, changed it to Alanta, thought it was a joke until she changed it to Skelewu.

She ran to her bunk, and yes she climbed, removed her pure white long sleeved shirt, her eye balls so red like a coal of fire. continue....

UNILAG AllStars presents 'Classes In The Studio' #CITS (Music Compilation)

After the release of their debut musical selection mix album in 2013, titled Unilag Forever, the UnilagAllStars are currently compiling songs for their new music compilation Album which shall be hosted by Dj Stramborella. Hit songs by interested Unilag artistes are to be submitted to the UnilagAllstars email address for screening.

This music compilation is titled C.I.T.S 'Classes In The Studio' and the project will be getting supports from couple of media,entertainment chiefs and corporate organizations  partnering with the UnilagAllStars brand to promote and make the music compilation a successful project.

The UnilagAllStars crew will announce the date of the Album listening, which will take place at the industry Nite after the compilation process.

Submission of songs is on or before the 10th - 31st of July 2014.

For the benefit of those who don't know what UNILAG ICE is all about, ICE means Institute of Continuing Education. It is an evening (degree) programme offered by the prestigious University of Lagos, UNILAG. UNILAG final year student, Sapara shot in the head

Just a few days after the sad incident of 3 female students of UNILAG involving in a ghastly motor accident, another student of the institution identified as Sapara (pictured above), a male final year student of philosophy has been reportedly shot in the head.

The horrible incident occurred around the King Jaja boys hostel of the institution on Monday 7th of July 2014, while the victim was soaked in the pool of his blood after the bullet made through the side of his head. Sapara was later taken to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH and was said to be responding to treatment even as at the time of posting this news contrary to the rumour all over the campus and media that he was shot dead. continue...

Updates on the UNILAG student that died in auto crash today... How it happened

The deceased Adinde Odinaka Stephanie

Earlier today, I reported the sad incident of 3 UNILAG students who were involved in a ghastly auto crash, in which one of them lost her dear life on spot while the 2 other girls sustained serious injury. READ HERE if you missed the news.

However, I have since been investigating to get more details on the incident which reveals that, the deceased is by name Adinde Odinaka Stephanie, a 200L student of English Education department and as well as Amarachi who is in coma and Laura who wasn't really injured.

The 3 of them are room mates in room 107 at their KOFO hall of residence on UNILAG campus.

I was informed that, the accident occurred around 1:30 am as a result of an argument between Stephanie and the man who they all went out with, while trying to touch some parts of her body in the car while coming back from the Island where they went to wine and dine.

Stephanie was said to be sitting in the front seat right beside the man who was driving, and she removed the seat-belt in the course of the argument, resisting the man from touching her body.

According to reports, Stephanie just met the man in front of her hostel yesterday on her way to over night reading. And after few words, she agreed to go out with the man and not without her friends. She went back into the hostel to invite Amarachi and Laura.

Amarachi, Laura and the man are currently under medical attentions in a Lagos hospital.

May the Lord grant her soul a peaceful rest and lay healing hands on the survivors.

Too Sad: UNILAG student dies in fatal auto crash.. another in coma

According to a latest information reaching me from a very reliable source, 3 female students of our dear University of Lagos, UNILAG, who are residents of the KOFO hostel on campus, earlier this morning had reportedly involved in a ghastly motor accident that claimed the life of one of them instantly, while one is presently in coma and the third one was fortunate not to be too affected by the horrible incident.

One of the victims of the unfortunate auto crash has been identified as Amarachi belonging to the English Education department of the institution. They were said to have gone out last night with a man yet unidentified. The 1st semester examinations is going on at the institution, this is so sad.

I will bring you more details on the incident later.

Pro-Chancellors advocate introduction of tuition fees in Nigerian Universities

According to latest reports, the Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Federal Universities on yesterday called for the introduction of tuition fees in federal universities to support funding of the universities.

This is contained in a communiqué signed by Kimse Okoko, chairman of the committee, in Abuja. The Pro-Chancellors decried the resistance to introduce tuition in some universities by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, and Students’ Union Government.

I believe y'all remember Ambrose Ezenweani, a former student of our dear UNILAG and the former President of the National Association of Delta State students, (UNILAG chapter) who was arrested on Monday 28th of April for exposing the 'under G' fraud surrounding the bursary of Delta state students. He has been granted bail by a state high court sitting in Asaba, Delta state.
