Masterminds Of The Nyanya Bomb Blasts Has Been Arrested

Speaking to newsmen at the end of the 24th World Economic Forum for Africa, WEFA, which ended in Abuja yesterday, President Goodluck Jonathan said that the masterminds of Nyanya bomb blasts, which occurred on two separate days have been arrested. He said they are also helping security agencies reveal their financiers.

He also told the journalists that the Federal Government had set aside $10 million as matching grant for the international community to rescue the abducted Chibok school girls.

U.S Marine Corps Trains Nigerian Soldiers In Amphibious Warfare

The U.S Marine Corps Africa, on Friday completed a three-week training for 100 Nigerian soldiers in amphibious and riverine warfare.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the training which started on April 17, and ended on Thursday was conducted at the Amphibious Training School (ATS), Calabar.

The soldiers were trained on fire team formation, use of micro terrain, preparation for combat, mission planning, shooting position, casualty evacuation, among others.
