The last edition of the weekly event was the premiere of "Reality Access" with Trayciee Nwapa and it was once again a gathering of top celebrities in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Breaking News: Re-Opening Of UNILAG Hostel Portal Postponed As Payment Deadline Extended To Friday

This is to inform you that the re-opening of the hostel balloting portal which was earlier scheduled for tomorrow Monday 17th of March 2014, has been postponed to Monday 24th of March, 2014.

This change is as a result of the extension of the payment deadline to Friday, 21st of March, for the students who have gotten hostel allocation, so as to enable them pay up and clear their hostel bed spaces before the portal will be re-opened for those who are yet to get hostel allocation.

UNILAG HOSTEL UPDATE: Payment Of Hostel Fee Ends Tomorrow + Other Important Info (Must Read)

This is to inform the students of this great institution who have gotten online allocation of bed spaces across the 13 male and female undergraduate halls of residence on Akoka main campus, to pay up their hostel accommodation fee latest by tomorrow Friday 14th of March, 2014 as the payment ends tomorrow.

It is clear that whoever fails to meet up with the deadline of the payment tomorrow has automatically forfeited his/her bed space allocation, as further plea regarding the payment extension will not be entertained.

Also, the hostel application portal will be reopened on Monday 17th of March, 2014 for those who have not been able to secure hostel accommodation as a result of the challenges faced in the online hostel application exercise.

The multinational food and beverage company, Nestle will tomorrow Thursday 13th of March 2014, give out thousands of its products to the students of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences at the prestigious University Of Lagos (UNILAG).

But the information available on this issue explained that this actually happened in a popular institution when the lecturer while chatting with his female student on how he could help her improve her grades, totally forgot to turn off his camera and after he discovered what has happened, he deleted the video from video folder on his laptop but forgot to do same in the recycle bin. continue......

Latest Info On UNILAG Hostel

I am glad to inform my fellow Akokaites, most especially those who are fortunate to get hostel bed spaces during the online hostel application exercise, that they might be moving into their various hostels very soon.

This development is as a result of the completion of the DLI exams. The DLI students have been the one occupying the various undergraduate halls of residence during their exams.

I used to think the season of open letter is only the order of the day among the top Nigerian government officials and politicians, until I saw this hilarious open letter sent to the newly elected president of the faculty of Environmental Sciences, the person of Oriyomi Akinyemi Abayomi by Ekop Godwin popularly known as Oracle, a 400L student of the department of Urban and Regional Planning.

Kindly Share Your Experience So Far On The Hostel Application Exercise So That We Can Know How To Help

I have received so many heartbreaking feedbacks about the amount at which the hostel application card was sold at the sports center of our dear institution today.

The sales of the hostel cards which resumed today Monday 3rd of March 2014, after the hostel application exercise was suspended sometimes in January by the Dean Of Student Affairs (DSA) Professor Kayode Amune, to enable students of the institution concentrate on their exams.

The heartbreaking feedbacks, like I have said earlier, is the fact that, some students who bought the hostel application cards today (Monday, 3rd of March) claimed that the card was sold at the rate of #1,500 while some got it at the rate of #1,000. In which the card is meant to be sold for #300, or #500 at maximum. (How disappointing) continue......
